About Valdosta State University
Valdosta State University is a public university. It’s a member of the University System of Georgia. Located in Valdosta, the student enrollment is 11,000 undergraduate and graduate students. It was founded in 1906and offered its first classes in 1913. The institution was primarily a teacher training school and did not become a four-year college until 1922. Valdosta was a women’s college until 1950 when it took on the name Valdosta State College and became co-educational. VSU’s campus is divided into the Main and North campuses. The Main Campus holds many of the academic and administrative buildings. Valdosta State University Application Requirements
High school seniors applying for undergraduate admission at VSU are encouraged to apply in the fall before their desired year of admission. Once all of their documents are received, students will be notified of the admissions decision within 10 business days. Earlier applicants receive priority with merit-based scholarships and housing preferences. In addition to completing the online application, students must submit:- ACT or SAT scores
