About Simpson University
Simpson University is a private university in Redding, California. It was originally located in Seattle, Washington, when it opened in 1921. The university relocated to San Francisco in the 1950s and made a move to Redding in the late 1980s. The school is affiliated with The Christian and Missionary Alliance. It’s a denomination founded by Albert Benjamin Simpson. The school is named after Mr. Simpson. The university originally offered two-year degrees, but it expanded its educational offerings over the next several decades into various liberal arts programs and professional degrees. Today, the university offers a variety of programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The school was elevated to university status in 2004 when it relocated to Redding.
