Kennesaw State University is a research-oriented, public institution with main campuses in Marietta, Georgia and in Kennesaw, Georgia. KSU also offers classes in:

Enrollment is more than 35,000 students. It’s ranked among the top 50 largest universities in the country. KSU is part of the University System of Georgia. It was founded in 1964 by the Georgia Board of Regents as a junior college. In 1976, the school became a four-year college and was renamed Kennesaw College. By 1985, KSU began to offer its first graduate degrees and saw rapid growth. Three years later, the school was renamed Kennesaw State College. In 2015, KSU merged with Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU). It established the Southern Polytechnic College of Engineering and Engineering Technology in honor of the former SPSU.

Kennesaw State University Application Requirements

Prospective undergraduate students must submit an application and a $40 nonrefundable application by the appropriate deadline. KSU also requires an official copy of:

transcripts from all previously attended universities or colleges
official ACT or SAT scores sent directly from the testing agency.

Students seeking graduate admission must:

send a $60 nonrefundable processing fee
d submit transcripts from each university or college they attended

Applicants must also hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited school and show evidence of a minimum 2.75 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale. Students should also keep in mind that each college or school in Kennesaw State may have its own application requirements in addition to the general requirements of the school itself.

Tuition and Financial Aid

In-state undergraduate students can expect to pay $2,713 for a full-time course load of 15 credit hours. Non-resident undergraduate students pay $9,576 for a full-time course load. In-state graduate students taking 12 credits are charged $3,473 for full-time tuition. Out-of-state graduates pay $12,539 for their degree program.
