Together, they created the Embry-Riddle Flying School at the end of the decade. It was one of the first five such schools to achieve certification under the Department of Commerce’s Air Commerce Act. Riddle moved the company to Florida, where it’s now located. He founded a school there that would train new aviators and act as a gateway to South America.
