Students can earn a Bachelor of Science in Food Service Management. They learn how to manage the operations of restaurants and other food companies. The program focuses on financial and operations management as well as leadership. Students must take a Computer Applications class and a handful of general education courses. They will also take 42 credits of food service courses. Those classes include:

Its Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program is a popular option for students who want to work in law enforcement or another legal field. The 48 credits of required criminal justice courses will teach students the fundamentals of the American legal justice system. Computer Investigation is a course that teaches them how to investigate online crimes and crimes committed with computers. The Private Security class goes over what those in private security do on a daily basis. The university offers a small number of graduate programs. Many students enroll in its Master of Science in Nursing program. Students can study a concentration in:

ECPI University also makes it easy for students to earn a Master of Business Administration (MBA) online. This program features tutorials that students can do online. They will also take classes in virtual labs that mimic the experience of studying on a college campus. The university asks students to focus their studies on either general management or information technology management. About ECPI University

ECPI University is East Coast Polytechnic Institute. It’s a private university that operates multiple campuses. Established in 1966, the university originally offered only a few degree programs. It put an emphasis on computer science and related subjects. Many of its programs followed an accelerated curriculum that allowed students to take more classes in less time. Students also earned credits for their real-life experiences. The university later added a culinary arts program and several programs in health care and medical fields. These include physical therapy and nursing. Known as the ECPI College of Technology for many years, it changed its name in 2011 to show students that they could earn degrees in many different fields. The university now has five colleges that offer both two-year and bachelor’s degree programs. All its two-year programs give students the option of leaving school after graduation or transitioning into a bachelor’s program. The university also offers four master’s degree programs. Based in Virginia, ECPI operates 19 campuses across the state and in:

ECPI University Accreditation Details

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCC) granted regional accreditation to ECPI University. Students can bring credits from one college or university to ECPI because of this type of accreditation. They can also apply for the financial aid that they need to cover some of their education costs. The university has institutional accreditation from:

• the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC)
• the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET)

Its nursing, physical therapy, and health education programs all have professional accreditation also.

ECPI University Application Requirements

ECPI University allows undergrads to apply after completing just three steps. They will need to meet with an admissions advisor either in person or over the phone. Students can fill out the request for more information on the university’s website and wait for an advisor to contact them. The advisor will go over the requirements of each degree program and help students apply for admissions and for financial aid. Students will also go through an assessment that determines if they are ready to take college courses. Before beginning a degree program, some students may need to take some prerequisites in:

• math
• science
• English

They will then submit an online application. Graduate students who want to attend the university will complete some of the same requirements. When they talk with an admissions advisor, students will learn whether they need to submit any other documents. Some of the ECPI grad programs ask for a writing sample to ensure that students can write at the graduate level. They also may request references willing to speak for them. Students usually need to provide transcripts to show the university that they have bachelor’s degrees too.

Tuition and Financial Aid

ECPI University offers a fixed tuition pledge for students who meet certain requirements. These students must:

• have an 85% attendance rate or higher
• be a full-time student
• take out at least one student loan

The program guarantees that students will pay the same tuition rate while enrolled in the university and making progress towards completing a degree. Undergrads can take 18 credits of courses and pay between $6,480 and $8,964 per semester. Each degree program charges a different rate. Graduate students pay $428 per credit hour in its Master of Science in Nursing program. They pay $720 per credit hour for other graduate programs. Every student who applies to ECPI University has the right to also apply for financial aid. They can meet with financial aid advisors and complete the FAFSA online. Most students receive both grants and loans in their undergrad years. They take out more loans in graduate school. While undergrads receive subsidized student loans, grad students qualify for unsubsidized loans. The university also offers support for military students and veterans who want to use their military benefits.
