About Bay Path University
Bay Path University is a private university that was established in 1897. It was originally called the Bay Path Institute. It was a coeducational school named for the nearby Bay Path. It moved to Longmeadow, Massachusetts in the 1950s. It became a secretarial school and admitted only women. Now known as Bay Path University, it accepts men into its graduate programs but only accepts women into its undergraduate programs. It also established a program for females to help them earn their degrees faster. It requires them to take Saturday classes. The Bay Path campus is home to an annual conference that allows students to learn from female leaders in different fields. This comes from the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and its Commission on Institutions of Higher Learning (CIHL). Both the physician assistant and occupational therapy programs have accreditation from the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant, Inc. They can also use the web to schedule a campus tour. Students can apply online. They can submit their test scores and transcripts after completing the Bay Path application. Graduate students applying to Bay Path usually need to apply around the middle of January, though some programs will accept applications through the spring and into the summer. Students need to write a 300 to 500-word essay and upload it to the application. The university requires two letters of recommendation on forms that students can download. Most programs ask for a copy of the student’s resume, as well. Bay Path allows students to submit a GRE score or the results of a similar exam also.Tuition and Financial Aid
Bay Path offers a flat tuition rate for undergrads. These students pay only $400 per credit hour. If they qualify for the university’s military discount they pay a reduced rate of $350 per credit hour. The tuition rate includes their fees, too.
