About Anderson University
Located in Anderson, Indiana, Anderson University was founded in 1917 by the Church of God. The Church of God is a reformation movement that unites under a common belief regarding the saving grace of Jesus. It was founded in 1880 and began publishing “The Gospel Trumpet.” The pamphlet was designed to provide information for early witness in the gospel. The church needed to train leaders. They added an education department to the company that published “The Gospel Trumpet.” Anderson Bible Training School, the small department that began in the publishing company, quickly grew. Additional educational programs were added. This led the church to change the name of the school to Anderson College and Theological Seminary. Eventually, the school became known as Anderson College before gaining university status. Today, more than 60 undergraduate programs are offered at Anderson University. Tuition for on campus attendance at Anderson is $30,700 per year or $1,280 per credit hour. Graduate tuition varies depending on the degree program and ranges from $400 to $610 per credit hour.
