Minot State University is located in North Dakota It was founded in 1913 as a teacher training school. Initially, it was a two-year school. Over time, the school evolved from normal school to university. Today, it’s a public university whose campus covers over 100 acres. Tuition and Financial Aid
Minot State University is unusual in that all undergraduate students, regardless of where they come from, pay the same tuition rate. Tuition for the year runs almost $8,000 (as of 2020). Room and board costs run about $7,000 as well. The per credit hour rate is $316.31 for 11 or fewer credits. Graduate students are charged $335.39 per credit hour. Full-time graduate students will pay just over $8,000 per year in tuition. Financial aid offers are generous, too. The school offers some automatic financial aid awards based on undergraduate students’ SAT or ACT scores and a high GPA. Students who meet the qualifications automatically qualify for a four-year award. This could be anywhere from $500 to $3,000. Transfer students are also eligible for automatic awards, ranging from $1,000 to $1,500. To qualify for other financial awards, students will want to fill out the FAFSA form.
