About University of North Dakota
The University of North Dakota serves as the flagship university of the state. Founded in 1883, the university opened before North Dakota became an official state. University of North Dakota Application Requirements
Prospective UND students will find applications designed for incoming freshmen and both graduate and transfer students. This type of curriculum typically includes three or more years of English classes and advanced math and science classes. The amount that students pay to attend UND depends on where they live before becoming a student. North Dakota residents pay around $352 per credit hour. Minnesota residents pay around $389 per credit hour. The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program allows students living in other western states to qualify for a reduced tuition rate of around $497 per credit hour. All other undergrads pay $836 per credit hour. The cost for graduate students is a little higher. North Dakota residents pay $357 per credit hour. Nonresident graduate students pay $849 per credit hour for most programs. Prospective UND students can complete the FAFSA and submit the form online. They just need their tax records or their parents’ tax records to use this form. Undergrads will usually qualify for government grants and loans. They may also gain access to the university’s work-study program and qualify for one or more of the loans that UND offers. Graduate students typically use loans to cover their costs. The government offers unsubsidized loans that allow students to borrow more than the amount they need to take a full course load.
